Ronald Royce Brown was born December 5, 1942, in Cleveland, Ohio and passed into the loving arms of His Savior on January 2, 2025. He is preceded in death by his father, John Brown and mother and stepfather Gladys and Marsh Koester. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Glenda Brown, brother Donald Brown of Marysville, Ohio, sister Debbie Brown of Cleveland, Ohio and sons Rick Brown (Heather) of Westerville, Ohio, Randy Brown (Marli) of Grand Rapids, Michigan and Ray Brown (Kerry) of Lyndhurst, Ohio. He held the title of “Poppy” to 7 grandchildren: Kennedie (28), Kadison (25), Nicole (21), Elodie (10), Fiona (9), Louise (1), and Clara (1 month).
Ron worked as a pipefitter belonging to local union 120. He was also a partner at L & N Olde Car Co. in Newbury, Ohio. He had a passion for old car restoration and all things to do with automobiles of any kind.
Ron was a member at Riverview Church and served on the missions board for many years. Ron and Glenda cherished the lifelong friendships they made while raising their family and attending Riverview.
Most of all, beyond his wife and family, Ron thoroughly enjoyed his time living on Pekin Road at Brown Valley Farm in Novelty, Ohio. He had a vision for his land and loved raising his sons on such a beautiful property. Ron worked very hard as he planted and harvested, took care of animals, and even dug and developed the picturesque pond. Ron desired to spend the rest of his days living at Brown Valley Farm. The Lord granted his wish.
Ron will be missed dearly by his family and friends but would remind us that with the promise of redemption, we will see each other soon.
Visitation will be held at Riverview Church located at 13968 Chillicothe Rd, Novelty, OH 44072 on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, from 10am until 12pm. Funeral services will begin promptly at 12pm. Ron will be laid to rest privately at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens.
