Rose Marie Simak

For 48 years, Rose Marie dedicated her career to helping others as an Independent Insurance Agent. She proudly owned and operated Simak Insurance in Newbury for more than 40 years, building lasting relationships with her clients and community. In 2009, she retired to focus on what mattered most to her, her family, especially helping care for her beloved grandson, Dylan.

Rose Marie had a warm and generous spirit, always finding joy in bringing people together. She loved cooking and hosting holiday gatherings, creating lasting traditions and memories for her family and friends. Whether playing cards, working on puzzles, or sharing laughter with those close to her, Rose Marie cherished every moment spent in good company.

A talented and artistic soul, she found beauty in creativity and expression. She also enjoyed traveling, often taking trips with her daughters, sisters, and friends. Still, no matter where life took her, Rose Marie’s heart was always centered on her family, who remained the foundation and joy of her life.

Rose Marie is survived by her daughters Lauren (Thomas) Simak-Christafferson and Jennifer (Martin) White; grandson Dylan White; sisters Loretta (Joseph) King and Francine Nardolillo; and many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her husband Lawrence J. Simak; parents Nicholas N. and Frances R. (nee Zingales) Nardolillo; sister Nicolette (Michael) Johns; and brother Christopher Nardolillo.

Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 am, Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at St. Helen Catholic Church, 12060 Kinsman Rd., Newbury. Interment at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chesterland.
