Ruth Nora Chiavari, age 91, passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Hillcrest Hospital. She was born on April 2, 1934, in Lima, Ohio, the daughter of Ruth Viola (Shutt) and Ernest Gunther. Ruth was a 1952 graduate of Lima High School and shortly after married Joseph Raymond Chiavari. Formerly of Magnolia, Ohio, she assisted in the operation of her husband’s pharmacy for over thirty years. In retirement they moved to Scottsdale, Arizona, she returned to Ohio last year.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband of fifty-two years. Survivors include her two daughters, Susan J. (Scott) Logozzo of Fountain Hills, Arizona, and Natalie C. (Frank) Wardega of Chagrin Falls, Ohio; five grandchildren, Vito and Sophia Logozzo, Jakob, Toby, and Noah Wardega; and two great-grandchildren, Cody and Michael Shelton.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 8018 Linden Drive, SW, Dellroy, Ohio, 44620, from noon until 2:00 PM. Ruth will be laid to rest with her husband in Green Acres Cemetery of Scottsdale, Arizona
