My kiddo Kayden had a friend who would bring her one year old daughter over to our house. Baby’s name was Penelope “ Ms. P “ and she just loved my mom. And my mom always tried to feed her like she did everyone but when Penelope would come over you can just see the change in my mom. She always did love to be around the little ones. And Ms P loved to run around my mothers house. I found this in my phone and wanted everyone to see the smile on my mom’s face when she was around. 

I met Sally at a singles group back in 1988, She was so beautiful in her blue dress. We started dating in 1989 and were married May 19th, 1990. A lot happened during our 32.5 years of a wonderful marriage. She would go with Aunt Pat on a NYC bus trip for a week seeing the sights and shows of NYC. We would go to the Florida keys with Uncle Paul and Aunt Pat every January for a week, In the summer she would come up to the boats at Catawba but never went out fishing as she got sea sick. She just enjoyed being there. 
She would go and visit with Grandma Shick when she was alive. She always went to the Sura family reunions every two year until she was too sick to travel but insisted that I go anyway this year.
She really enjoyed children. Raising Deanna and Joey (Joe) was her pride. The grand-daughter, Mackenzie "Kayden" was her joy.  She gave up her job to help raise Mackenzie from 1st grade till now. Mackenzie will miss the daily phone/video talk with Sally. 
She loved her nephews and nieces although in these later years she didn't get to talk with them very often. 
Sally enjoyed putting together all the puzzles that she had accumulated over the years.
She loved her dog Karma. but we ended up with 3 more dogs that she loved too. Oscar the 16 year old Shitzu that she raised from a puppy when Karma passed in 2009. The other two were rescue dogs. Mackenzie brought home a kitten "Cleo" that Sally just loved. Sally would facetime video with Cleo since she lived with Mackenzie.






My loving wife Sally who was always there to discuss life's situations with for the 32.5 years we were married. As our vows said, "for better or worse, in sickness and health" we would always laugh together no matter what happened and overcome all of life's difficulties. I miss our daily talks, when you were sick taking care of you, watching the TV programs you loved, making certain you took your daily medicines. You even gave up your job to take care of and raise our grand-daughter. We found your 'forever' home as you called it. 

You were a kind, giving person .I miss you.

Sally and I met our freshman year at St. Stephen High School, Cleveland Ohio. That was September 1969. Despite moves across states and counties we’ve stayed friends. Fifty three years and so many memories. My favorite memories are of family gatherings (weddings, graduations, baptisms) and especially our trips to New York with Sally’s Aunt Pat. I saw my first Broadway Show (Annie Get Your Gun) and the Radio City Music Hall Rockettes Christmas Special (amazing show) all thanks to Sally inviting me to join her on the trip.
Sally will be missed.

Sally liked to have people over and she liked to cook. You knew when you went to Sally’s house there would be plenty of good, delicious food. My absolute favorite thing that Sally made was her BBQ ribs in the crock pot. I tried to follow her recipe but mine were NEVER as good. I’ll miss your cooking my friend.

I have known her since I was 11 yrs old.  To me she was my second Mom. She treated me like I was her own from day 1.  I can’t just pick one memory to share because I have so many great ones of her. I loved her laugh and the way she would roll her eyes at D when she was being crazy.  I hear her voice so clearly when she would get annoyed with D. “Deanna Lynn” was heard quite often.  Most of all I am gonna miss her beautiful heart. She loved everyone so much. She would do anything for anyone. She was a strong woman who will be loved and missed by all that knew her.  My heart goes out to Michael, Deanna, Joe, and Kayden. I know they they are all hurting so much by this tremendous loss.
