Shirley Ellen Kopas

She was born on April 8th, 1952 in Trenton, New Jersey, daughter to the late Arthur and Ethel Krames.

A lover of animals, antiques and the equestrian life, Shirley dedicated her years to teaching others her loves, instructing many of the local residents to ride, groom, and treasure horses the same way she did. And though the horses may have cost her some broken bones throughout her time, they never came close to breaking her spirit.

Always a proud mother, loving wife and steadfast sister, she is survived by her spouse of forty years Andrew Kopas Jr, her children Lauren Ruth Kopas and Andrew Kopas III, her siblings Nancy Nyman, Arthur “Bud” Krames, Laurie Weingartner, and Kathy Metzger and her dear friends Stefanie Portman and Meghan Naylor.

Her life will be celebrated at a future time, and we encourage those who wish to honor her memory to take a walk in the woods, pet their dog, and appreciate a quiet moment on a country evening.
