Stanley M. Antczak Stanley M. Antczak , 77 of Chester Twp. passed away on October 10, 2018 at David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland. He was born in Poland on May 31, 1941. Stan emigrated from Poland to the U.S. in 1960. He was an active parishioner of the Church of Saint Anselm in Chester Twp., including serving as a Eucharistic Minister. He was also a member of The American Society of Pols in Cleveland. Stan enjoyed gardening, working in the yard, and traveling with his late wife, Janina. One of his greatest joys though was spending time with his grandkids. In 1966, Stan graduated from Case Western Reserve University with a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Upon graduation, he began working for GE Quartz. Stan was greatly proud of being a Mechanical Engineer and very dedicated to his work with GE. Also during Stan’s career, he designed and held a patent on the 214 Process for quartz tubing. In 2004, Stan retired from GE Quartz as a Manager of Advanced Design Engineering. For a time after retirement he continued his expertise as a consultant. Survivors include his son, Robert (Cynthia); grandchildren Samantha and Matthew Antczak; sister, Maria (Feliks) Wolanin; and several cousins. He is predeceased by his wife, Janina “Jasia”; and parents Stanley and Barbara Antczak. Visitation: Wednesday 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Gattozzi and Son Funeral Home 12524 Chillicothe Rd. Chester Twp.
