Aunt Terry was so bright and vivacious!  We are so sorry to lose her!  May she rest in peace!

I will always remember your mom as the twins' mom next door & the lovely lady with whom I shared lunch several times in more recent years.  I would be at the calling hours except that we have out of town guests arriving on the 31st.

I will be ever grateful and honored to have my mother in my life. She taught me so many things, Rena and I found our love for fairy tales, cooking, and general laughter and the love of life. I will remember my mother as a strong woman who got her pilot's license for flying a plane although she never flew one after she received the certificate, doing ballet in the garage with her friend. I still remember the shoes and always think of her when I see ballet dancing. The time she got caught in a high chair and couldn't get out. That was a time when in our neighborhood there was a peeping Tom, and the men went out as a group to hunt him down and bring him to the police and the women were in the house and Mom sat in the high chair. The children were sent under the beds for protection, and when they finally did find a man outside all the women jumped up to see what was happening, and mom was stuck in her chair. It was hilarious and still remember that. Although in the later years I've been far away in Arizona and now in Texas I always remember her and our little chats about our cats and how they annoy us but we still love them. Mom and I worked downtown Cleveland, and we would always ride the bus together with the same people daily. She became known as the queen of the bus and everyone was looking forward to the different hats that she wore. My mom was very fashionable and she could really dress for success. Always the lady.  Mom always spoke her mind and to me her famous, it's raining you can't go out advice always made me smile. I'm caught up in many emotions and memories  so this must sound scattered but I know that she's with Dad and they will carry on and watch over us, I'm sure. I love my sister, my Wombie, and all she did for Mom and Dad when I couldn't, she's truly a saint.

The exchanging of roles of mother and daughter was a slow transition but one that was done with love, respect and understanding.  Of course, moms will always be moms and the occasional "Keep both hands on the wheel" and "Don't slam the door" kept her standing in the forefront.  She taught my twin sister, Leann,  and I the love of fairy tales, how to act like ladies at all times, how to clean a house - that skill still eludes me to this day - how to take care of those you love with honor and dignity, and God love her, how to do ballet..yet another skill lost to ability and time.  My Italian pride was ingrained in me by both my mom and my dad.  Cooking family meals was a loving endeavor and one taken on by them with a zeal that knew no comparison.  The Christmas Eve traditional meal will always be a testament to her love of family and one I will carry on with happy memories but also with sadness that she will no longer sit at the table. She'll be there in spirit along with my dad making sure that the sauce is stirred, the squid is stuffed and the family is fed to capacity. She had great  pride in her grandchildren and great grand children. In her eyes and indeed in mine, they are the best who ever walked this earth!  - each and every one of them! There are so many more facets to my mom.  Her work ethic and expertise while managing the offices of the lawyers who became friends, roller skating, her golfing skills that my dad tried to improve on with no luck, and her sewing and needlework that produced quilts, etc. that will now be cherished in every stitch.  In the years to come, her memory will be honored and forever be etched in my broken heart.
