Raised in Chesterland, Tricia was a proud graduate of West Geauga High School. She continued her education at Ohio University, where she graduated before going on to earn a master’s degree in counseling from Kent State University—an achievement that reflected her steady commitment to learning and a thoughtful dedication to understanding and supporting others.
Tricia found genuine joy in the outdoors and in the quiet satisfactions of caring for what she loved. She enjoyed hiking, camping, kayaking, gardening, and tending to her yard, bringing the same attentive care to her home life that she brought to every part of her world. Holidays and birthdays held special meaning for her, and she cherished the tradition of celebrating them—often welcoming family and friends into her home.
In her professional life, Tricia was the operator and sole proprietor of Happy Home Housekeeping. Through her work, she built something entirely on her own, marked by reliability, pride, and a conscientious approach that reflected the thoughtful way she lived.
Tricia is survived by her son Ben Malbasa; parents Diane Lambert and Jim (Kathleen) Lambert; sister Julie (Mike) Damenti; nephews Jack and Ryan; niece Sophie; former husband Steve (Nice) Malbasa; and many other loving family and friends.
A Private Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations in Tricia’s name may be made to Reserve Care Hospice at www.reserve-care.org
