He was born January 14, 1920, in Akron, OH, to the late Thomas W. and Pearl Hoover Bean. Bill’s proudest moment was being recognized as the first “Eagle Scout” for the Akron Boy Scout Troop #74. He lived most of his life in Orlando, FL, before moving to Georgia over fifteen years ago.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Bean.
Survivors include: his wife, Nancy Winslow Bean of Clayton, GA and Newbury, OH; daughter, Kimberly Brastoff (Robert) of Newbury, OH; three grandchildren, Jared Bogan of Galloway, OH, HannaRose Brastoff and Rowan Brastoff of Newbury, OH.
A private service will be held at a later date.
