

Bill Gilmore age 92 passed from this earth on July 15th 2026. He was born in Belfast Northern Ireland to Walter and Margaretta Gilmore on July 4 1934. He came to this country in 1956 and joined the United States Airforce where he was stationed at McGuire AFB in New Jersey. He was honorably discharged in June 1963, and then became a naturalized citizen on July 14, 1967.
Bill was a longtime employee of Service Stampings, Inc. in Willoughby where he worked as a tool and die maker until he retired in July of 1994.
He is survived by his daughter Lynette Czehut, step sons Kirk Schmidt (Deb) and Kent Schmidt (Eileen), Grandson Collin Czehut (Amanda) and great grandson Hudson who he adored, his brother Walter Gilmore and sister Doreen Martin both of Belfast Northern Ireland along with many extended family members.
Preceded in death by his wife Donna, grandson Connor Czehut, brothers James Gilmore and George Gilmore, sisters Jean Lago, Peggy Bohlkin and Phyllis Gilmore.
To honor his wishes of no funeral services, when you think of this Irish gentleman, please raise a glass in his memory, preferably with Old Bushmills Black Bush Whiskey in it.
