Alphonse "Al" J. Serritella, lifelong companion of Michael Shipow; passed away on Monday April 11, 2011 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Born in Chicago on Monday December 19, 1932. Al was a loving uncle of many nieces and nephews and a fond friend of many. Al was preceded in death by his parents, Alphonse and Minnie; sister Marion (the late Willie) Messino, Geraldine (the late Louie) Perry, Louise "little LuLu" Serritella and Louise (the late Sam) Letizia. Visitation Wednesday April 13, 2011 from 4:00pm until9:00pm at The Montclair-Lucania Funeral Home, 6901 W. Belmont Ave., Chicago where funeral services will be held 10:00am, Thursday April 14, 2011. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Hillside, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society or Chicago House appreciated.
