Angeline Katherine Finnegan

Angeline K. Finnegan, age 83, of Chicago, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2025.

Born to Antonette (Pat) and Phillip, both of whom preceded her in death, Angeline grew up surrounded by family, tradition, and love. She was the sister of the late Joe, and is lovingly remembered by her sisters Clarice (Al) and Michele (Jeff), who will carry her memory forward.

Angeline was married to the love of her life, John C. Finnegan Sr., with whom she shared a bond built on devotion, laughter, and everyday adventure. Some of her favorite moments were simply taking long drives together, enjoying the scenery, the conversation, and the comfort of being side by side.

Angeline was a devoted mother to Bobby (AnaMaria), Kim, Marie (Celso), the late John Jr., Cathy (Rob), Angie (David), and her youngest, Patti, lovingly known as her “caboose.” Angeline was the adoring grandmother of 15, and great-grandmother of 7. She was a proud and loving aunt to many nieces and nephews, and a loyal and cherished friend, especially to her dear friend Pat.

Angeline was a devout Catholic with a creative and gentle spirit. She found joy in painting and expressing the world through color and brush stroke. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of a warm cappuccino, an ice-cold Pepsi, a good bingo card, and lively games of poker and pinochle shared with laughter. Time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her the greatest happiness of all, filling her days with pride, affection, and joy.

Her life was marked by warmth, humor, patience, and unwavering devotion to the people she loved. The memories she leaves will live in the stories shared at family gatherings, in the sound of laughter during a game of cards, and in every quiet moment where love is felt.

She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all whose lives she touched.

A visitation for Angeline will be held Wednesday, November 12, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Montclair-Lucania Funeral Home, 6901 West Belmont Ave, Chicago, IL 60634, followed by a chapel service from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
