August 31, 1961 – January 24, 2025
Born August 31, 1961 in Chicago, Illinois, the second son of Joseph and Barbara Demma, passed at the early age of 63 after complications arose from colon cancer. Named for his two grandfathers, he lived most of his life in Rogers Park, attended St. Jerome’s Elementary School and Sullivan High School in Chicago. Brother to Connie (John) Fox, Joyce (John) Ciemny, Joseph (Rose) Demma) Theresa, Daniel and Peter and a cousin and nephew of many.
He was a loving father to Jason, Fawna, Chris and Clayton and grandfather to Justice, Jade, Julian, Lara and Lincoln.
Loving partner and parent with Tina Juhlin for many decades.
Beloved companion of Kathy Albright, through his passing.
A dedicated man of many talents as a writer, artist, sign painter and a pyrolytic and sometimes exaggerated story teller. He prided himself as a perfectionist working for Bradford Construction and for 30 years at the City of Chicago, as foreman of the Sign Shop and in the Department of Aviation at O’Hare Airport, and commanded great respect from his many colleagues.
He was an honorable character, who valued trust, competence and independence. He carried a wonderful sense of humor and an incredible force of will. He approached each day with a head for tomorrow and will be greatly missed hereafter.
His wish is to be cremated and his ashes scattered at the locations he loved.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, February 12 at O’Donovans Pub, 2100 W. Irving Park, Chicago, starting at 4pm for well-wishers, family and friends.
May he rest in peace.
