Arlene was a calming force. Her eyes and facial expressions communicated her thoughts and everything you needed to know. Her gentle smile and her expressive eyes; sometimes listening, sometimes dancing, without a word spoken. The memory of raised eyebrows or questioning rolling of the eye will forever guide us to use caution!
This communication style was learned from Italian, Non-English-Speaking Grandparents, Dominick and Concetta DeBartolo, and Giuseppe and Pasqualina Garritano.
Arlene will have very long and welcoming Reception Line as the Gates of Heaven open. Happily reuniting with all those she loved and cared for.
She was Gus and Ralpholine Garritano’s first daughter. The eldest of 5 children. She was preceded in death by her parents, younger brothers Richard and Alan, as well innumerable family members dear to her. Surviving siblings are Delcine Cully (late Mike), August J Garritano (Andrea), Janice Shupert (Rusty).
Arlene leaves behind Treasured Nieces and Nephews: Natalie Lopez (Eric), Monica Swalina (Steve), Trin Garritano (Rachel) (Conal Pierse), August E. Garritano, Lindsay Shupert and Dominick Garritano (Amy). Completing her joy in life, Great Nieces and Nephews: Daniel, Gianna, Cameron, Ava, Kayla, Cierra, Brianne and Oscar.
