Rick knew me as "Wale." Or, as his cousin and my sister-in-law Dora would spell it, "Guello." In regards to Dora's family they all treated me as family and took good care of me.
Rick is a friend. He treated me as a good friend. He always had words of wisdom and encouragement. Great sense of humor and I believe smiling was one of his favorite activities. He had this smile that said "Hey! Isn't that funny?!" And it was.
I missed seeing him already. This makes it more difficult.
My deepest condolences to his wife, children, mother and entire family.
I am sure he is still smiling. Making someone else laugh now, telling them stories about all of us. I look forward to the day we can all be together again. Sitting in a kitchen listening to his stories. I miss you, Rick. Godspeed.

My deepest condolences to my aunt Susan, Diego and Marco. The love and pride my uncle had for his wife and two boys was truly beautiful. His face would light up with excitement every time he would mention anything about them. Those three were the fire in his heart that kept him fighting. I am going to miss his random visits and his caring heart. May my uncle rest peacefully.
