So Sorry to hear of Sean's death. I visited Sean and his family on three occasions back in the Eighties and Ninties.
May he rest in peace.

I would like to share my sympathy with Seans Family.  I had worked with Sean off and on trying to get the property in Key Largo Financed.  I met him down there a couple of times and he was very
nice and good natured.  Lost of a loved
one is a terrible thing

Sean was a great guy .. Ive know him a long time played hockey with him. He was always so cheerful

Sean I knew you since HS when we sat or I should say you sat behindmein homeroom. I am so sorry we lost contct inthe last few months  you wanted life anddid a lot inyour life. I will truly miss you and will not forget you had a big heart 
.You were always good to all thetelephoneguys at It's  Here on Clark I amglad I got to run in to you the last couple years and know you are now at peasce. I lost my 50 yr old brother in June and now Ilost anotherman I couls call my brother as I tried to treat you as  one.God  is with you now and you are at peace To Your family I know how it feels but sometimes  God has a strange way of callingus home.

I am so sorry to hear the sad, sad news of Sean's passing.  I offer my sincere condolences to his family and many friends.  I have many fond memories of Sean.  He was always ready and willing to help me out, was very generous to me and my family, and, of course, he made me laugh.  I am glad to have known Sean - he will be missed.

I certainly had my share of laughs with this very unique individual. Rest in peace friend.

I first met Sean like a lot of other people who knew him - at a hockey rink. His humor in the locker room was something right out of Las Vegas. We all loved listening to the jokes, the experiences as a member of the Chicago Fire Dept. . We in the locker room didn't want to go on the ice-we just wanted to hear the stories and laugh. However, when he hit the ice he was all business-the frenetic stick handling, the quick spins and dekes-he was something to play with and against. The parties he had at Christmas at some of his places were always a lot of fun. He always made sure everyone had eaten and drank enough. He was a very caring person. When he found out my daughter was out of work he bent over backwards to try to help. I'll never forget how kind and concerned he always was. His corner in the locker room though filled by another player will always belong to him and whenever I look in that locker stall I'll see him and smile. It's all right ,Sean , you can truly rest in peace, my friend. I'm truly going to miss you and your skill,humor and kind heart,Wayne Garritano

I worked with Sean on Ambulance #31 in the 80's and what a good guy. Kept talking about the Irish. Sean was really a compassionate individual and as busy as we were Sean was so uplifting. I first encountered Sean back in the 70's at McFetridge.  He was on a team with Mike Chinn, among others.   As the years passed we became friends.  I remember going to some of his restaurants.  He was always full of life and quick with a smile and a good word and funny story.

As my hockey playing days waned I would bring my elderly father to watch me play, helping my dad pass the time.  Sean would always greet him with a big smile and a "Hello, Mr. Mankus!", making my dad feel welcomed and respected.  I will never forget the kindness shown to my dad by Sean. 

The last time we were in contact was about 1 month ago, when we exchanged Facebook message.  The tone of the messages was jovial, as always. 

Goodbye Sean.  There is a sadness in my heart and an empty spot on the team's bench now.........

Sean was a man who loved his family dearly and if you were a close friend, you were family too. His generous nature, his humor, and his kind heart will be greatly missed. I have only fond memories of this man and believe God had other plans in store for him and all of us. Our sincere condolences and love goes out to the ones who loved him most. Our hearts are broken. We pray for the peace in knowing that Sean is free and now watching over us all.
