I can’t believe it’s been 9 years since Bernice passed.  She, and Tony were WONDERFUL neighbors, and I still think of her very often.  We shared a low chain link fence between our yards and many a conversation were had over that fence.  Now, I’m sorry to say, there’s a five foot high ugly wood fence there, and I almost never even see our 'new’ neighbor.  When we moved here, we were the ‘kids’ on the block and Bernice and Magda on the other side of us, were so very welcoming and friendly as long as they lived.  Now we are the ‘old’ ones on the block.  Thank God for memories and good neighbors!

Dear Dick,Tony,Tom & Family; I will always remember Aunt Bernice. I always called her my little Aunt and I use to tease her about receiving ashes on her forehead. I remember yhe picnics at Bussie Woods and a lot of card playing at each others houses. Its so hard to beleive that all my Aunts and Uncles are gone. My deepest sympathy to the Cozza family.  Bernice always had a joyful spirit and smiling face whenever she came to worship services at Pilgrim.  We had wonderful conversations about  family and the day in general when I would come to give her a ride to church on Sunday mornings. She will be missed. Peace to her memory.

Kelli and Brian, I am so sorry to hear about your grandma. She was such a great woman. She is back home with your grandpa now and she is in a better place. It's extremely hard to deal with, but remember all the good times you had with her. She will be missed. I love you both. You and your family are in my prayers.

Dear Dick, Tony, Tom, et all,
I knew it was inevitable when we saw Bernice last fall, but it's so much harder when the reality sets in.  I'm sitting here typing this with tears in my eyes as I recall what a GREAT neighbor your mom (and dad) were.  She welcomed us to the neighborhood when we moved next door 37 years ago, and it was truly a sad day when she moved out.  Bernice always wore a smile and had a kind word for everyone.  She had a great sense of humor and loved to joke around. It was always fun sharing stories and gardening tips over that wonderful and proverbial "backyard fence!"  Bernice especially liked to reminisce of the days gone by, when she and Tony played badminton over that fence on so many summer evenings, with Ed and Dolores Fleck (my cousin) who lived here before us.  We were truly blessed to have the Cozza's and Mueller's as neighbors for so many years!  Our prayers are with her as she enjoys her well-deserved eternal reward, and with all of you.
