I want to thank everyone for those kind words aunt betty will be missed and I know she is happy to be with her family and her pain is gone.. miss and love you Carlo your number 1 nephew..

Very sad day.  She was really a good friend to Tikky.  I'm so glad we got to see her last week.  We will miss her greatly.

Or should I say Auntie Bets.. you are truly going to be missed. My father's younger sister. Always has been a part of our lives in many ways from sleepovers to going to a ball game to see the Cubs. Going up north to the summer home, going on the pontoon boat wanting to drive her Monte Carlo. Sunday meals was always a treat. Betty could not cook but she would clean. All the ladies would be in the kitchen putting food together for the st. Joseph table and she would be there picking up everything throw it in the garbage making many trips. She was fun we're going to miss you Auntie Bets you got to be with your family you couldn't wait we all love you.

Aunt Betty we would call her AUNTIE BETS she was one of a kind. She loves her niece and nephews very much I might say she had favorites. But Carlo took care of her as he does everybody else. She was so much fun growing up she knew all our friends. Baseball games sleepovers going on the boat in her pontoon boat going up to the summer home. We all know she wasn't much of a cook. That was Sophie and Grandma's but she would clean up. Whatever mess they made. She loved their pets from Pinto to Ray Luigi and taffy these dogs for taking care of very well you might not remember Ray that was a big German Shepherd who scared the hell out of everybody accept her . There wasn't a door that dog ate everyone of them. But listen to Betty and you're going to be truly missed. I'm sure you got a warm welcome in heaven from your family you're all together now until we meet again Antioch still holds a big piece of you we had a lot of fun here.

Dear Nasca Family:  

This comes with heartfelt sympathy and my deepest condolences on the passing of your Aunt Betty.  I feel extremely blessed that I was able to be with your family last Saturday night to see your Aunt Betty and be able to tell her that I loved her.  She was a dear friend and a very special lady; she will always remain in my heart ~ never to be forgotten.  

Over the years, I always enjoyed our conversations and our occasional visits.  Your Aunt Betty lived life to the fullest, was such a "positive" person and welcomed everyone with open arms.  She was loved and admired by many.  She was always there for everyone (family and friends alike).  She truly loved her entire family and spoke highly of everyone, especially Carlo, Michael, Joe ("Joey") and Rosalie.  

She was the greatest Chicago sports fan I've ever met (i.e. the Bears, the Blackhawks, the Bulls and, it goes without saying, the Cubs (as your Aunt Betty would fondly call them "Cubbies" or while cheering them on "Go Cubbies").  Win or lose, she was a devoted/loyal fan to all of the Chicago teams.  

I miss her already; however, I do know in my heart (where it counts) that she's in a much better place.  One thing that gives me comfort and peace is knowing that she's been reunited with her loving family and friends in Heaven; I know how much she truly missed her loved ones. I also know that she will watch over all of you, keep you out of harm's way and shower you with blessings from above.  God needed another "Angel" and called your Aunt Betty to her eternal home/resting place in Heaven.  

God bless your Aunt Betty ... May she  rest in peace and may perpetual light shine upon her loving, compassionate and generous soul forever.  

May God bless the Nasca Family and may He give you comfort and peace as you mourn the loss of your dear, sweet Aunt Betty.

What a spunky lady...I had the pleasure to work with Betty and spend time with her after she retired... Always full of life. We had some fun times and lasting memories..

Aunt Betty will be so very missed.  She inspired me with her zest for life and her positive outlook on everything. We all loved her so very much. It is a sad day for us but I take a lot of comfort knowing she's reunited with cherished family now and in total peace and happiness.

It is with much sadness and a heavy heart that I add this entry to Betty Mijatov's guest book.  My name is Donald L. DeBiase, Jr.; however, Betty and the Nascas know me as Donnie.  I met Betty and her family in Antioch, IL, back in the 1970s.  They had a small cottage right next to Rudy's Resort, later becoming Lang's Resort, located on Lake Marie.  My family started out with a travel trailer at the resort and then purchased a home located directly behind and on the water.  The two families eventually became very good friends and through the years spent a lot of time together at that little resort on the Chain of Lakes.  As the old saying goes, "Nothing lasts forever."  The resort is no more, the cottage now belongs to Betty's nephew, Joey, and our home was sold a number of years back.  Even though a lot of things have changed, one thing remained the same:  my friendship with Betty.  We would talk on the phone, get together when we could, and even take trips up north to visit the third musketeer, Pat Lang, so we could all reminisce about the good old days in Antioch.  Pat and I visited with Betty at her home in Chicago on Wednesday.  It was the last time the three of us would be together.  I received a call this evening letting me know that my good friend had passed away.  And though this news fills me with great sadness, I take comfort in knowing that she is now at peace. I would like to close this entry with a few lines from an old song.  "Thanks, for the memories.  Until we meet again. . ."
