Callie Jean Wright

Callie was born in Mariana, Arkansas to Oviert and Amanda Jones. She was a gentle God-fearing child and became the same as a woman fearing her God Jehovah. Also, a woman of many passions, including cooking, gardening, staying connected with family via phone or video chats and was an avid reader and fisherman. She also was the proud owner of many collections like coins, stamps, and baseball cards, and a retired Executive housekeeper after many years at The Croydon Hotel .

Proceeding Callie in death are her parents her sister‘s Dorothy and Anne Louise her son Edward(Jake), her Grand and Great grandchildren Shanae, Benjamin, Jonathan; Nephew Jeffrey and her niece Linda.

Callie will forever be missed by her children Robyn/John, Rhonda/Enoch, Cheryl and Maajidah; her grandchildren Nicohle/Terrance, Jamie, Nina/Glenn, Nashira/Ramon, Candace/Nael, Ronnoch/Phyliss, Amanda/Ben, Jessica/Joe, Kiah, Derek and Courvoisier; her Great grandchildren Kennedy, Kaiann/Franklin, Zion, Kallie, Brownie, Jasmine, Hannah, Chloe, Naomi, Josiah, Jeremiah, J‘Akor, Jahan, Cionni, Cameron; her Great Great Grandchild Amazi; also her dear nephews Larry, Norris, Stevie, and her dear nieces, Jackie, Pamela, and Sherise.; her two cousins, Cassandra and Stanley; as well as countless loved ones and beloved friends.

A Memorial Service for Callie will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 3PM at Drake and Son Funeral Home, 5303 N. Western Ave., Chicago, IL, 60625.
