Caritina Preciado Solis, age 75, of Chicago, was born in San Luis Potosi, SLP., Mexico on October 5, 1946, and born into eternity on November 6, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. Caritina was the beloved wife of the late Jose Rosalio Torres; loving mother Cesar (Cindy), Adrian (Mitzy), Caritina (Daniel), and the late Andres; adoring grandmother of Tess, Cesar, Cezanne, Miguel, Andrew, Madeline, Leila, Guadalupe, Andi-Lynn, Joaquin, and the late Vladimir; dear daughter of the late Salvador & Carmen; cherished sister of Alfredo (Esperanza), Salvador Jr. (Elena), Juana Maria (the late Felipe), Juan Manuel (Catalina), Daniel (Maria Soledad), Hugo (Angelica), Jorge, and Elsa; most adoring great-grandmother of Isaiah, Ruben, Naomi, Andres, Abel, and Miguel; unforgettable aunt; caring cousin; and fond friend of many; Retired Chicago Public School Special Education Teacher and Child Advocate.

Prima (Caritina Preciado Solis), te voy a extrañar muchisimo. Y mas porque cuando comense a estudiar con los maestros de guitarra (Sones de Mexico Ensemble), tu confiabas en que yo iva a aprender. Recuerdo la primer ves que lleve mi guitarra y cantamos muchas canciones las dos. La que mas me conmovio, fue la de "La Llorona," porque vi como te expresabas al cantarla, y vi que era una de las muchisimas canciones que te traia algun dolor a la memoria; probablemente algo que nunca se resolvio. Despues nos poniamos a cantar unas canciones mas alegres, y tu cara se llenaba de alegria, y te daban ganas de pararte de tu silla de ruedas a bailar. Te recordare como la prima que mas me enseño a apreciar la historia antigua de Roma, Romulus y Remus y el Coliseo; historia de Mexico; Palabras que no sabia que existian; y te doy las infinitas gracias x compartir tu aptitud en mecanografia, cuando yo apenas estaba en quinto año de primaria. Fuistes una maestra para todos! Fuiste la vida de una fiesta, apesar de la adversidad y tu salud... y mas cuando te ponian "Que Le Pasa a Lupita," "Que Rico el Mambo," "Perfume de Gardenias," "Preciosa," "Gema," "Fallastes Corazon," "El Mariachi Loco." y tanta musica que conocias. Como dijo "Rocio Durcal," "Fue un Placer Conocerte," pero mas que todo, me enorgullese decir que fuistes quien me preparo para el futuro de la computacion. Ahora te has ido repentinamente. Nos dejas con un vacio en el corazon, y una mezcla de sentimientos en la cabeza . Pero nos consuela el saber que estaras mas comfortable a donde te has ido, y que jamas volveras a surfrir o sentir algun dolor o desaire. La misma cancion lo dice "y que todo aquel que llega a morir, empieza a vivir una eternidad." Para los que permanecemos en este mundo, hasta que Dios nos invite a su reino; definitivamente sera un "Invierno Triste." Y saludame a todos quienes se han adelantado para estar en un mejor lugar con tigo. TQM Lulu
