Celine Marie Ascencion

Baby Celine Marie Ascencion, age 5 months, of Chicago, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Celine was the most beloved daughter of Eduardo and Laura Ascencion; the cherished little sister of Noah; and the adored granddaughter of Roberto and Graciela Ascencion, Irene Morales, and Jesus Quinones. She will be forever remembered by her loving aunts and uncles — Roberto Jr., Leticia, Jeanette, Jesus Jr., Jorge, Carlos, Gabriela, Maria, Tania, and Sarai — and by her many cousins, extended family, and family friends who loved her dearly.

Though her time with us was brief, Celine’s presence filled every heart she touched with warmth and joy. She loved smiling, laughing, and sharing her sweet baby talk. She enjoyed being outdoors, surrounded by nature, and loved cuddling in her father’s arms. Her favorite times included playing with her big brother Noah, and playing peek-a-boo with Grandma Irene.

Celine loved visiting Grandpa Roberto and Grandma Graciela’s home — Grandpa Roberto would say she loved watching the sunrise. Her mom, Laura, said she especially loved the song “Isn’t She Lovely” by Stevie Wonder, sung by Christina Perri. Laura cherished dressing her in cute outfits and placing hair bows in her soft hair.

Celine’s short but beautiful life was full of love. She was her family’s sunlight — their bright, joyful baby girl who illuminated their days and hearts. Though she is gone too soon, her light will forever shine in the love she gave and the memories she leaves behind.
