Charles B. "Corky" McGonigal, age 90, of Oak Lawn, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, May 16th, 2023. A retired Chicago police officer and veteran of the United States Army who served in the Korean War. Beloved husband of 31 years to Isablee (nee Alfano); dear brother in law to Eileen McGonigal; loving uncle and great uncle to many. Corky's memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him. He is preceded in death by his parents James and Margaret McGonigal, and his siblings Mary, Michael, Ann, James, Robert, John and Peggy.
Friends and family will gather for a visitation that will be held Monday, May 22nd, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Andrew J. McGann & Son Funeral Home, 10727 South Pulaski Road, Chicago, Illinois 60655. Funeral Tuesday, May 23rd, 2023 prayers at McGann funeral home at 8:45 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at St. Linus Catholic Church, 10300 Lawler Avenue, Oak Lawn, Illinois 60453 at 9:30 AM. Interment Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, Alsip, Illinois 60803.
