Dan was born on April 29, 1948 to Edward and Adeline (Wanda) Banaszek. He attended St. Eulalia, St. Joseph High School, and Christian Brothers College (Memphis, TN) where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. Most recently, Dan led the environmental section of an international engineering firm as a Senior VP. He enjoyed many outdoor activities such as biking, hiking, camping, canoeing, and golfing. He was a beloved member of his neighborhood community, where he spearheaded sporting events and became famous for his signature French toast cooked on the camping stove. Dan was a cookie monster in his own rite and took up baking to make countless chocolate chip cookies and kolaczkis. He leaves behind his daughters Nora and Amy and their mother, Nancy; his brothers James (Pat) and Kenneth (Denise); and cousins, nieces and nephews.
