Daniel Lamont Weinzierl

Daniel attended Santa Maria Del Popolo, Mundelein H.S., Illinois State University, and Northeastern University in Chicago. He was a manager with the Blind Venders Program of Illinois and worked for a short period of time at the Chicago Lighthouse for the Blind and Disabled. Daniel was a member of the Blind Skiers Association and the Lincoln Park Lions Club, and avid Chicago Bears fan.

Daniel is survived by his wife Cindy, his two children Donald and Elsie, their spouses Megan and Nick, along with 5 grandchildren: Kalli, Cameron, McKenzie, Jackson and Kacie. His mother Marcia, two brothers Jeff and David, and step-siblings Jane, Julie and Mark. He was preceded in death by his father Donald Eugene Weinzierl.

He leaves us all with fond memories and a heavy heart.

A visitation will be held on Friday, August 4 from 10 am – 1 pm with a celebration of Daniel’s life at 1 pm both at Drake and Son Funeral Home, 5303 North Western Avenue, Chicago, IL 60625.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in memory of Daniel may be sent to the Lions Club of Illinois, 700 N. Peace Rd, Suite B, DeKalb, Illinois 60115 or the American Blind Skiing Foundation, 609 Crandell Lane, Schaumburg, IL 60193.
