Dante Ilao Mangahas

Dante enjoyed living life driving nice cars and could often be seen driving around singing to Elvis Presley, the Everly Brothers, Tom Jones and even UB40. He had a lifelong love for cards, where he enjoyed the thrill of the game. His passion for the card table was a big part of his life, always chasing the next hand with excitement. Dante also spent a good part of his life helping students with needs in the CPS as a Teaching aide where he would bring his fatherly presence to help troubled students.

Dante is survived by his loving wife Demetria (nee Dionisio), his children Duane (Rita) Mangahas and Darryl Mangahas, and his cherished grandchildren Ethan and Logan Mangahas. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Arsenio Mangahas, Jr., Rolando Mangahas, and Jaime Mangahas.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 24 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Drake and Son Funeral Home, 5303 North Western Avenue, Chicago, IL 60625. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 25 at 3:00 pm at Drake and Son Funeral Home, 5303 North Western Avenue, Chicago, IL 60625.
