David Bradford Tribble

David “Dave” Bradford Tribble, 82, of Chicago passed away on July 13, 2023. He was born on December 24, 1940 to Joseph and Genevieve (nee McCrohan) Tribble in Hartford, CT. B.S. Boston College, Ph. D. St. Louis University.

Dave was a Professor of Physics at Loyola University Chicago for 39 years. He was a faithful attendee of “Episcopal Church of the Atonement Chicago.” He was a Board Member of “The Illinois Orchid Society” until 2012, and was always interested in environmental issues. To Dave, Science and Faith were equally Divine!

Dave is survived by his loving wife of 22 years Allison (nee Sibbald) Tribble, children Brad (Jolene) Tribble and Maura (Tom Guillou) Brescia, and seven grandchildren (Julian, Thom, Phillip, and Jamie Tribble and Lucas, Miles, and Madeleine Brescia, siblings Katherine (Dr. James) Brennan, Roy (Elaine) Tribble, Robert (Jan) Tribble, and his sister in-law Ann Tribble, and many other loving family and friends. Dave was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Joseph.

A Celebration of Dave’s life we will be held on August 28, 2023 at 11 am at Episcopal Church of the Atonement, 5749 North Kenmore Avenue, Chicago, IL 60660.
