Debra Ann Kehoe

Born and raised in Chicago, Debbie was the oldest of five children and the daughter of Raymond and Mary Ann. She grew up alongside her siblings, Shirley, Vicky, Ray, and Rachell, and throughout her life she carried a strength and determination that was unmistakably her own. Debbie was a strong woman—probably one of the strongest you would ever meet.

Debbie shared decades of love and companionship with her beloved husband, Don. Together, they built a life filled with love, memories, and adventures, including a special trip to Ireland. Their life together was a testament to the enduring bond they shared.

Debbie devoted 38 years of her life to the Chicago Park District, where she built a long and meaningful career. She took pride in her work and in the many years she dedicated to her community.

Debbie had a love for classic rock and roll and enjoyed the music that brought her joy throughout her life. She also loved to laugh and had a wonderful sense of humor. She enjoyed telling jokes, sharing a good laugh, and bringing laughter to the people around her. Those who knew Debbie will remember not only her strength, but also her ability to find humor in life and the laughter she shared with the people she loved.

But above all, family was at the heart of who she was. She treasured her many nieces and nephews and the special relationships she shared with each of them.

Debbie was preceded in death by her beloved parents, her husband, and her siblings.

Though her passing leaves a tremendous emptiness for those who loved her, there is comfort in knowing that Debbie is finally reunited in Heaven with the people and companions she loved so dearly. She is once again with her husband, Don, her family, and her beloved dog, Leela.

Debbie leaves behind her cherished nieces and nephews, who will carry her memory and the lessons of her strength with them. She will be remembered for her fierce spirit, her resilience, her independence, her determination, her love of family, her sense of humor, and the countless laughs and memories she gave to those who knew and loved her.

Debbie lived a life of strength, love, laughter, and perseverance. She endured, she cared deeply, she laughed often, and she never stopped being herself.

She is finally home, surrounded by those she loved and those who loved her.

Rest peacefully, Debbie. You were strong, you brought laughter into our lives, you were deeply loved, and you will never be forgotten.

A Memorial Visitation will be held at Montclair-Lucania Funeral Home, 6901 West Belmont Ave, Chicago, IL 60634, on September 21, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm, followed by a Celebration of Life on September 21, 2026, from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm.  

A Final Committal will take place at Maryhill Catholic Cemetery, 8600 N Milwaukee Ave, Niles, Illinois 60714; please meet at main entrance, on September 22, 2026, at 10:00 am.
