Deron had such an impact on so many people. So much of an impact that he is still thought about 6 years later. O'Hare isn't the same place without a spirit like Deron. My friend, I miss you. You taught me more than how to do my job. You taught me how to respect.

Deron was an excellent father, husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend. I was blessed to call him a friend. My prayers go out to his family in their time of bereavement. Deron and his smile and bubbly attitude will forever be missed at O'Hare airport.

I known Deron since kindergarten and he was always a funny, talkative loving person. We used to hang out all time of where he lived. His mother was a nice person to me and many other people. When you were in a bad mood he would make funny faces to brighten me up to make me laugh. I miss those days and the memories will never be erased and cherish in my heart. Deron was a good person inside & outside person. I miss Deron and I will always remember my friend.

Deron was a wonderful spirit! One of the first great people I had the pleasure of working with when I first joined TSA. Always funny, caring, compassionate and mellow... He was a man I admired, always positive and walked around with a smile all day. He knew the perfect thing to say when others were down. My best memory is when we car pooled together to work  every day and we had the same routine, coffee with hash browns… also all the BBQ's we had together. I will truly miss him. I'm just glad God gave me the opportunity of meeting him and getting to know him both at work and in the real world..

I only worked with Deron one time in 12 years, and I can say he was one of the best. Always upbeat and very funny. You are deeply missed by all of your colleagues.

You were one of the first guys I met at O'Hare. Every time I saw you, you were smiling and full of life. You spreaded this throughout the airport and I'm definitely sure you were this way away from work. It was a blessing working with you and experiencing your presence outside of work. It was definitely an honor.

Deron my friend I will miss you. We have been friends and coworkers since 2002. We share many fun times and memories me you and Stan. I'm still in shock and heartbroken. Deron was one of the best men I have ever had the honor of knowing. Never once did I ever see him not smiling. Never once in the almost 12 years did he not have a good thing to say.
