Diana M. O'Brien

Preceded in death by her late husband Terrence O’Brien (CFD), Diana and Terry built a strong legacy. Diana was a loving mother of four children: the late Timothy (MaryAnne CFD), Terri (Jack [John] CFD) McCollam, the late Tracy Burton, and Jennifer (Steve) Blahusiak. A proud grandmother of Jessica, Laura, Stephen, Sean, Jenna, Matthew, Cara, Kyle (CFD), Nolan, Keegan, Gabrielle, and Benjamin. Ecstatic great grandmother of Alex, Jason, Ella, Phoebe, Asher, Danny, and Lily. Diana was a wonderful sister-in-law, aunt, and cherished friend to many.

Diana had a creative spirit. She was very proud of taking an active role in the Court E 10 Newsletter for the Park Forest Community Co-Op in her early days raising Tim and Terri. Later in life, Diana would continue this hobby, crafting the newsletter for the Gaelic Fire Brigade. Diana wrote and submitted many poems and short stories to various magazines. As years passed and her family grew, Diana loved working at Carson’s and placing “dibs” on items in the baby department for her first granddaughter, Jessica.

In celebrating Diana’s remarkable life, we remember her laughter, wisdom, and the countless ways she touched our hearts. She now rests peacefully with Terry, Tim, and Tracy, watching over us with love and pride.

Rest in peace Diana, you will be missed but your memory will never be forgotten.
