Editha Dela Paz Aguda
August 24, 1952 – March 14, 2023

Aurea Editha ("Lita" & "Eda") Dela Paz Aguda, age 70, born in San Miguel, Bulacan, Phillippines residing in Chicago’s Edgewater neighborhood, passed away unexpectedly on March 14, 2023.
After graduating from San Miguel Elementary school, she studied at San Miguel High School for two years and subsequently transferred to St. Domitillas Convent to finish high school. While attending Saint Paul Paranaque College she met her soon-to-be husband and earned her associate degree. She ultimately enjoyed a long fulfilling career at Allianz, where she worked her way up from typist to Medical Malpractice Claims Specialist.
Editha is a devout Catholic and a professed member of The Secular Franciscan Order. She was involved in a number of liturgy activities at her home parish, St. Ita. From helping organize fundraising events, leading prayers, and/or sharing her musical talent with the entire congregation, she was a constant figure that brought joy to everyone she met.
Beloved wife of 48 years of George Collins Aguda, devoted mother of Eric and Jonathan (Kristine Siapno) Aguda.
Very proud and loving grandmother of Isaiah, Liam, Amina, and Jaxon Aguda.
Dear sister of Estrella “Bebe” Dela Paz, Marietta “Mayet” Dela Cruz, Marita “Neneng” Nartea, and Jaime “Jimmy”, Diosdado “Dado”, and Enrico “Eric” Dela Paz.
Preceded in death by parents Juan Pamposa Dela Paz and Felicidad Gonzales Dela Paz and by siblings Danilo, Cynthia, Wilfredo, Ellen, Ferdinand, and Estella Dela Paz.
Visitation to held Thursday, March 23, 2023 4 - 8 pm, at Drake & Son Funeral Home, 5303 North Western Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60625.
Funeral mass to be held Friday, March 24, 2023 10am, St. Ita Catholic Church, 5500 North Broadway, Chicago, Illinois 60640.
