Eddy had so many wonderful qualities, which is why he had so many friends, and was and is, so beloved. We’ve been friends over 45 years, and I’ll cherish all my memories of him. I guess the most accurate and honest thing to say about him is that he was and is, one of the best people I’ve ever known or will ever know. I hope you can rest in piece friend, and I hope to see you again. Love you,
not so Skinny Lynnie

Ed would come into my bar. I started out as his bartender and we then became friends. We started doing things away from the bar and shared many friends. His kindness and generosity will always be remembered. His wit and love for others will always be held in my heart. You will be missed. Sleep with angels.

Our daughter, Dawn Smiddy, was a close friend of Eddie's. Carol and I met Eddie on several occasions. We could see that he was the kind of person that anyone would be honored to call a friend. We will miss him and we will pray for you and your family. God bless. Tom and Carol Smiddy

Ed I don’t remember a specific memory just a collection of good laughs, wonderful smiles, cynical comments. You always had time to listen to me and you had a talent for giving gentle guidance in the right direction without being critical or judgmental. I feel very blessed to have had you in my life . I grew through our friendship , thank you . I will miss you but not forget you . I hope to see you in Heaven Ed. I know your soul is there. Love you !

It was a great privilege and joy to have known Ed. We worked together at Holy Family Hospital for several years. He was kind, charitable and oh so much fun. His pranks were memorable, I was a victim of them many times and will cherish those memories forever. He has gone on a journey that we all must take and our faith in God tells us that we will all be reunited again someday.Thinking of you all at this very sad time. Hoping you will find the strength to bear your great loss.Loved you Ed. and you will be forever in my heart. May You Rest In Peace in Heaven.

On the night shift at St Joseph's, we would get a chance to chat from time to time, while Ed was tranfering a patient to critical care.
Always a smile, and a kindness about him. He was a friend who listened. He helped me in low times, helping to add prospective to the situation. I will miss him, but am all the better person having known him
RIP friend
