With Jean, Ed was a member of our Coconut Grove Book Club. We first met him during the pandemic, when we were meeting on Zoom. Afterwards, we met him in person, and it felt like we were getting together with a dear friend we'd known for years. As a reader of books, Ed was epic. He seemed to have read and remembered everything. We loved him so much, and we still miss him.

I miss Ed so much. I had so much fun with him and his wife Jean during the years I spent in Miami. They could always be counted on to get a group together every afternoon for "wine time" and the comraderie we shared meant everything to me. Their dog Zoe and my dog Sherlock always had a good time playing together while the adults shared what they knew about the "goings on" in the Grove! My heart goes out to Jean. I know how much she must miss him.

Dear Jean and family.  My sincerest condolences on Ed's passing. He was invaluable to me during my time with The Chicago Tax Club. I will miss him and his stories. He was one of the greatest story-tellers I ever met.

Dear Ed, Angeline, Mrs. Lennox, Katie and to all of the Lennox Family - sending my genuine sympathy in the loss of Mr. Lennox. I have really enjoyed the times our paths have intersected over the years... at Wayne DuPage Hunt teas, other celebrations, and most recently when I had the opportunity to volunteer at Lawrence Hall last summer.

Ed was a wonderful and supportive early mentor and longtime friend going back a lifetime ago to our days at Container Corp. Ed was a true professional in every way, always learning and teaching everyone along the way. Such a positive guy, with his ever present smile, happy, friendly, and helpful disposition.  Ed will be greatly missed.  My deepest condolences to Jean and family on this profound loss. 

I was very fortunate to work for Ed at Baxter.  We were both early birds and sitting at my desk in the morning, I'd hear the elevator doors open and Ed would come out whistling, of all things. . . Candy Man. . . ugh  LOL  Those were such good times.  He was truly amazing, always happy with that wonderful smile on his face.  It didn't matter how busy he was, he always had time for you.  Ed was a true gem.  My heart and prayers go out to Jean and the family.

Dear Lennox family, Ed and Jean were integral members of the Coconut Grove Book Club.   Ed will long be remembered for his  amazing memory of,  it seemed, all published books!! May your memories of many happy occasions shared with Ed keep him close to your hearts and help to ease the pain. Our sincere condolences.

We met Ed about 4 years ago through Zoe and he and Jean quickly became two of our favorite people.  Ed always wore a smile; he could brighten anyone's day. He laughed easily and often. He spoiled our dog with pepperoni treats, so our dog was as fond of him as we were, although Zoe got a bit jealous.  Our hearts go out to Jean,   Zoe and the rest of the family.  He will be greatly missed. 

Ed and Jean were members of the Coconut Grove Book Club for about two years. Because of Covid, for the first year or so, our monthly meetings took place only through Zoom. Eventually we began meeting again in person. Since Ed and Jean traveled frequently between Chicago and Coconut Grove, they usually attended on Zoom, sometimes from Chicago. My wife and I met them in person only once. That was just a couple of meetings ago. By that point, Ed had become one of my favorite people of all time. I'm 83, and I've had quite a collection of favorite people. Ed was at the top of the list. I feel as though I've lost one of my closest relatives. My wife and I are devastated by the news of Ed's passing. He was one of the great people. For us, most of all, he was the ideal book club member. To our book club he brought encyclopedic knowledge of books published over the last 100 years, unflagging humor about everything, even the most serious topics, and great warmth and empathy. Although we knew hardly anything else about him, we knew what he brought to the book club, and it was gold. Our hearts go out to Jean and the family. We will miss him terribly.

I am so saddened to hear about Ed's passing.  He was a great help to everyone in need and will sorely be missed by The Chicago Tax Club. I am sure the many happy memories he leaves behind will bring comfort to those that will remember his smiling face. My condolences to Jean and his family.

Ed Lennox, what a great friend and wonderful contributor to the CTC and people that "worked" with him.  Whenever "we" had a problem or question, the first step was always to check with Ed.  He had seen every problem and issue before and always directed us in the right direction!  

He will be sorely missed but the many fond memories of him will last.  Blessings to the family!

Ed was my best friend at Hotchkiss and in our wedding party. Although we did not see each much over the years when we got together it was like no time had passed and we still best friends. In our retirement years exchanging jokes weekly was something I really enjoyed about our emails.  I will miss him terribly.  Our deepest condolences to Jean and his family.

We are so sorry to hear of Ed's passing. We spent many happy times with Ed and Jean in Miami. Days and evenings of joyful times and fond memories. Ed served on our Condo Board with me and even in Rocky times he always had a smile. He was really a sweet guy and we send our most sincere condolences to his family.

I'm saddened to hear of Ed's passing. I've known Ed for about 40 years as a member of the Chicago Tax Club. He loved the CTC and in fact was presented with the license plate MR CTC. Very much deserved. He always made it fun and gave so much.

I have so many special memories of Ed. We both had apartments in the same building in Miami and I was lucky to be be able to spend quality time with Ed and his wife Jean. It hurts my heart that he is gone.
