Elaine Darche

Elaine was the beloved wife of the late Phillip “Lee” Darche and a loving mother to Phil (Jean) Darche and Jeff Darche. She was a cherished grandmother to Christopher (Austin) O'Dowd, Patrick Darche, Kaitlin Darche, Nathan Darche, and Timothy Darche, and a proud great-grandmother to Shane, Wyatt, Parker, and Miller.

She was the dear sister of the late Kathryn (the late Tom) Shine and a fond aunt to thirteen nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in her heart.

Elaine found joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially music. A devoted fan of classic rock, she could often be found listening to her favorite bands, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd. Her love of music reflected her spirited nature and brought her comfort and happiness throughout the years.

Above all else, Elaine dedicated her life to her family. She was a caring mother who raised her children with love, guidance, and strength. Her greatest pride was watching her family grow through the generations. As a grandmother and great-grandmother, she treasured every moment watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, creating memories that will be cherished forever.

Elaine will be deeply missed, her legacy of love will continue to live on in the lives of those who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 29, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Andrew J. McGann & Son Funeral Home, 4727 W. 107th Street, Chicago, Illinois.

A Celebration of Life Chapel Service will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Gardens South Cemetery in Oak Lawn, Illinois.
