Elaine Eleanor Fiducci

Elaine Eleanor Fiducci, 92, of Harvard, died Saturday, April 15, 2023, in Glenview. She was born on March 20, 1931, in Chicago, to Walter Louis Nesvig and Eleanor Anna (Leisen) Nesvig. She married Donald James Fiducci (Fiduccia) on November 11, 1950, Armistice Day, in Chicago.

She was a member and president of the Harvard Women’s Club, curator of the Harvard Historical Society, member of the First Presbyterian Church of Harvard where she had served on the instruction and church life committees, Deacons, a member of the J.U. Club and organized the annual November craft bazaar and February lasagna dinner.

She loved sewing and crafting. She sewed a wedding dress for one daughter and crocheted a wedding dress for another daughter. She made a variety of stuffed toys and decorations which she sold at various shops and at Fall Diddley and she had a mail order business of her crocheted animal patterns. She loved cooking for family celebrations, her garden and observing the birds that came to her feeders. She loved a good joke!

Survivors include five children, Donald (Lidia) Fiducci, Lee (Wayne) Gersch, Bonnie (Wayne) Aberly, Thomas Fiducci and Timothy (Tina) Fiducci; nine grandchildren, Heather (Andrew) Fischer, Brian (Sherrie) Fiducci, Lauren Gersch, Joshua (Autumn) Aberly, Kari Gersch, Samantha (Kevin) Zurek, Anthony Fiducci, Jessica Aberly, Brandon Fiducci; five great grandchildren, Julia Fischer, Hannah Fischer, Madison Zurek, Elliot Aberly, Everett Zurek and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, her daughter Kathryn Wieczorek, her parents, her grandmother Anna Leisen, brothers- and sisters-in-law Samuel and Dorothy Fiducci, Ted and Loretta Fiducci and nephew Teddy Fiducci.

Interment will be private.
