Emily Sobieraj

Emily Sobieraj passed away peacefully on April 17th 2023, at the age of 71. Born in Poland. Married to the late Leon Sobieraj. Graduated from Carl Schurz High School. She had hobbies of going to the casino with her daughter in law Cassandra Maniatis, having coffee time with friends and family, but most of all loved play time with granddaughter Amelia.

Loved by her Sons Greg (Cassandra) Sobieraj and Mark Sobieraj. Cherished by her Grandchildren Nick and Amelia Sobieraj. Beloved by her Sisters Mary, Jeanie, brother in law Eugene Sobieraj and the late brother Lester Koson.

A visitation for Emily will be held Thursday, April 20, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Malec & Sons Funeral Home, 6000 North Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL 60646. Chapel Prayers will occur Friday, April 21, 2023 from 9:15 AM at Malec & Sons Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial will occur Friday, April 21, 2023 from 10:00 AM at St Elizabeth of the Trinity, 6020 W Ardmore Ave, Chicago, IL 60646. An Interment will occur Friday, April 21, 2023 from 11:30 AM at St. Adalbert Catholic Cemetery & Mausoleum, 6800 N. Milwaukee Ave., Niles, IL 60714.
