Eugene "Geno" Herrera, age 70; Beloved husband of Sherrion L. Herrera (nee Whitehouse); Loving father of Darlene Hoffman, Geno C.P.D. (Carol) , Michael (Natalie) Herrera, Christy (Michael) Clark and Lizabeth Faltin; Cherished grandfather of Sherrion, Taylor, Mary, Emily, Molly, Jack, Michael II, Robert, Jessica, Jacob, Izabelle, Nina, Michael, Derrick, Amanda and Mallarie.

I am so very glad I got a chance to meet you before you were called home. You have such a wonderful family, and I am so lucky to be a part of it.  I'm also very happy that Alli had a chance to meet her great grandpa or her old grandpa as she would call you. You will certainly be missed by me and Derrick and everyone else who had the pleasure of knowing you!

Geno has blessed my life by his witness to faith, love of family, genuine concern for others and community involvement..

Thanking God for the gift of Geno and praying his light continues to shine through the heart those who loved him and those who were loved by him!

Herrera family(Darlene) may good memories keep your loved one close to your heart and put a smile on your face when you are sad !! May he rest in peace !! God Bless!!

Dear Herrera Family,
My heart aches for all of you on the loss of your dear love one. Words can not express how deep the hurt is when you lose someone that means the world to you. Know that he was loved by so many other then the family and his memories shall live on with each and everyone of you. My deepest condolences for the Herrera family. My daughter and I both work with Darlene and was very saddened by her terrible loss.

Gene, my best friend since we were kids on Taylor Street more than 65 years ago. We will all miss you in the days and years ahead, but will have many good memories. Remembering those days hanging out on Taylor and Sacramento, baseball games on the street and the pranks we pulled on the gas station guys working the night shift. My deepest sympathy to Sherri and family.

Dad I still cannot believe you are gone. Even though your spirit lives on inside all of us. Thank you for the little reminders you are there to brighten my day. Even in your passing no one can take your love away. You are and will always be my hero. Love you always and forever!!

Geno/Grandpa, should not be remembered in the sadness of him being gone, but in the laughter and joy he brought to all. He will never be forgotten. Love you Grandpa

Dear Sharon and kids,  I was shocked and saddened to hear about Geno's passing!  I am out of town so I will not be able to make it to the wake/funeral.  Please know that my prayers are with all of you during this most difficult time!  I have many great memories of Geno that I will cherish always.  May you find peace and comfort as you grieve the loss of a wonderful man!

May god guide you all thru this difficult time, and have comfort knowing he is at peace in his final resting place. Cherish all the fond memories of him, as he was a wonderful man. I am glad I had the pleasure of meeting him and growing up with such a wonderful family.
