Fausto was born on June 18, 1932 in Rovito Cosenza, Italy. One of five children, he lived in Cosenza until he was 18 years old when he left to join his father in Chicago.
His first job was working at Salerno Cookie Factory. He later worked as an upholsterer at B. Brody Seating Co. while attending cosmetology school in the evenings to earn his hairdresser license. He became an award winning stylist and educator for the next 65 years. He was most proud of Faust of Italy, his beauty salon and spa in Morton Grove which he owned and operated with dedication and care until his retirement at the age of 92.
He found great joy in cheering on his beloved Juventeus and the Chicago Cubs, tending to his garden, and sharing good food with family and friends. A generous and compassionate man, he quietly supported numerous charities and was always willing to help those in need.
Fausto was deeply loved by family and friends and left a lasting impression on everyone he met. His greatest accomplishment and joy was his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He always said he was so blessed with a good life and his family was his life and his soul.
Fausto is survived by his loving children Amy Arnieri, Gina (Rodney) Davis, Rosanna (Ray) Norum, and AnnMarie Zaccaro; dear grandchildren Lindsey, Jaclyn (Mike), Kevin (Lauren), Kaitlyn (Theo), Kelly, Brandon, Erik (Paige), Nicole, Mia, and Angela; treasured great-grandchildren Harper, Teddy, Hattie, and Baby Davis. He was preceded in death by Catherine Arnieri, beloved parents Gabriele and Amalia Arnieri, and trusted siblings Stano (Mima), Guido, Maria, and Ida. He will be missed by many friends and family.
