Florence M. O'Connor, née Grothe, 94, of Chicago passed away at Lee Manor Nursing in DesPlaines, IL on Thursday April 1, 2010. Born in Chicago on Sunday December 26, 1915 to Fred and Florence (née Hullison) Grothe. Devoted wife of the late John; beloved mother of John (Barbara), Sharon (Steve) Felau, Ruth Costello and the late Robert (Joss) and Margaret Wagner, cherished grandmother of 11, great grandmother of 9 and great great grandmother of 4; dear aunt and great aunt of many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday April 6, 2010 from 3:00pm until 9:00pm at The Montclair-Lucania Funeral Home 6901 W. Belmont Avenue Chicago where prayers will be said 9:30am Wednesday April 7, 2010 to St. Priscilla Church for a 10:30am mass of the resurrection. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery Hillside, Illinois.
