Dad there are no words to express our Love, Respect & Gratitude for what you and Mom have meant and have done for us thoughout our lives. From the early days on School Street I used to have this fear of you not being there but every night that front door would open and as big and solid as a mountain there you stood. You anchored and gave us that feeling that we were always safe. With Grandpa, Nana, Uncle Nate, Aunt Barbara 3 houses down and Uncle Paul, Aunt Mo & the girls upstairs you put in place for us a rock solid foundation of love and family. You were always there for us...As wild and out of control as I was, pushing my luck to the edge with my antics for 20 odd years you disciplined me and did your best at setting me straight, without that Dad I would have been gone a long time ago...We know that what is most important to you is family, friends, neighbors & the Maryville Family. You love and care for all of us...When you breathed your last breath a part of us went with you, on the other hand a bigger part of you is left with us in our hearts.
Were going to miss you Dad and we are always going to love you. We know that you will always be with us like all those who have gone before, protecting us and lighting our path...
Today we want to celebrate your life and cherish all you have meant to us.

Dear Ann and children. I saw all the pictures and read all the comments of people who loved Frank. The same themes were there about his smile and joy and laughter. Such expressions of love for the special guy! I can't express my pain of his loss to his family and friends because my eyes have been full of tears and the lump in my throat has been there since Monday. Just know that he was loved by so many people, especially the children of Maryville. I know Fr. Smyth has lost a treasured friend. Frank and Art Fagan were two big parts of the Camelot Fr. Smyth enjoyed at Maryville. My love for Frank is like that of a family member. I know the Cale clan will miss him terribly but remember, 'Say not in grief, he is no more. But in thankfulness, that he was.' Do not look at my grave and weep. I am not there. I do not sleep. Do not stand at my grave and cry. I am not there. I did not die. Frank will live on and on in the stories of his love and joy of life.

To Cale family,

Frank took me to my first baseball game...White Sox (of course) in 1969. I'll never forget that and what a tremendous guy Frank was. My condolences.

My deepest sympathies goes out to your family. I know from experience how death of a loved one can be challenging to cope with. Acts 25:15 is Scripture that has brought comfort to my family & I hope it brings comfort to your family. May the God of all comfort continue to be with you.

Dear Ann,Pat&Nat and the Cale Family- The memories of Frank and the Cales go back to Marge&Eds, Leos and the School St hood in the 40s. The memories pour out in our minds thinking back- and Frank is always center stage in those great memories. We are all lucky to have shared our lives with Frank and That Old Gang of Ours. My thoughts and prayers are with the Cale family at this time. Frank was a great individual with a kind heart, who loved Maryville Academy. I met Frank over twenty five years ago at Columbus Maryville, our friendship remained throughout the years. When Columbus Maryville closed, I would visit with Frank when I had the opportunity to visit the Des Plaines Campus. Frank, will be missed.

To the Cale Family my deepest sympothy goes out to you. Frank will always be remembered sitting on the bench watching the Wed. night softball games at the road. Always a smile and a hug waited when you went to sit next to the coach. My son still remembers him foundly, always asking how his little buddy was doing in baseball. Many nights when he was small he bought ice cream for him and he sat with Frank watching the game and talking baseball. He was such a kind and special man he will be missed but will live on in our hearts.

John and I are so sad to hear that we loss another great person.  So many years of joy Frank gave us.  Years of coaching that John still remembers 50 plus years ago.  Life's lessons that Frank taught him. Each year when I made it into camp on a Thursday from San Diego, I know I would be met on the St. Mary's side by Frank and Art. Dear Cale Family,
My deepest sympathy to all of you for your loss. So many memories and thoughts have been going through my head since hearing he passed away yesterday. He meant so much to so many people, he touched many lives. He touched mine and it was the best thing that happened to me, to have him as my coach. Through this I met so many friends and family of Frank's and we all have wonderful stories and memories that he helped create. I will miss him so much and will always smile thinking of him, such fun times. Love him and want to thank him for believing in me and welcoming me to the team so many years ago.
