We worked together on & off with Suburban Ambulance in the 80's. You taught me how to do the job the correct way as one of my peers there.
Thank you Fred.

I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to the family and friends on the passing of Fred. I have known Fred for many years being in the fire service myself. From the training to the flea markets Fred always enjoyed being part of it. May GOD be with the family and for Fred May he Rest In Peace....

Diane, Kayla, Bridgid, Claire, and the Heller family, My heartfelt condolences to all of you for the loss of your husband, father, family member, and my friend. I have so many fond memories of "Freddy" during our 18 years together at LFPD. He spoke proudly of his family often. He loved being a firefighter! Freddy taught me a lot about fire investigating. He was truly in his element in the kitchen and prepared countless amazing meals for his coworkers! He will be missed, but not forgotten. See you on the other side my friend.

Diane and girls, I was shocked to hear of Freddie's passing. My prayers are with you. My heart goes out to you. I met Freddie at Superior Ambulance when I was the new kid on the block. We had so many laughs and fun times. Freddie you will be missed dearly. May you rest in peace brother.

When Nick and I moved in to the neighborhood Diane and Fred invited us over for dinner and Fred made us an unbelievable amount of barbecue ribs. Fred made us laugh for hours and welcomed us into his home. They were the best ribs and and Fred insisted we take some home with us. Fred was so gracious and always had a smile. Our condolences, we will miss him.

I am the piano/vocal teacher of Claire and Brigid. I’ve know Fred for only 5 years, but he always welcomed me into his home. He always had a kind word, a smile or a funny story. My condolences to the family. May the light of God surround you. May the angels hold you in their wings.

I worked with Fred in North Riverside for as long as he was there. I remember when he got engaged at Dwayne’s Buckwheat Bash. Fred was always a stand up guy and a good person. He will be missed, but never forgotten. May God bless Fred and all his Family.
