Genadi Kolodkin and Ludmila ("Mila") Korostishevski passed away peacefully within one year of one another. Genadi passed away on December 6, 2025 at the age of 70, and Mila passed away on June 15, 2026 at the age of 67.
They were married for over 40 years and were not just husband and wife, but also best friends. They believed in putting family first and using humor to get through hardship. Neither of them ever came home and complained about work. They were too busy cracking jokes, sharing strong opinions about the news, and tending lovingly to their home and family.
They were smart, funny, steadfast, and loving. Their spirits live on in their daughter and grandson. They will be missed.

A Memorial will be held at Malec & Sons Funeral Home, 6000 North Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL 60646, Saturday, July 25, 2026, from 11am to 2pm.
