Gladys B Davidson

Gladys May Davidson (nee Browne), age 96, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2022. A longtime resident of Glenview, and Gurnee Illinois, Gladys was born on May 5, 1925, in Richmond Virginia, to Gladys May and James Arthur Browne. She was the beloved wife of James Van Kleek Davidson who preceded her in death in December 1999. An avid reader, and puzzle lover, Gladys took great delight in joining her friends at the Gurnee Senior Center for bunco and bingo before her move to Sunrise Senior Living in Buffalo Gove. She was also known for her sense of humor, love of dogs, and kindness to others. She is survived by her three daughters, Janie (Gus) Kokonas, Laurie (Scott) McMillion, and Leslie Davidson, whom she treasured more than anything and never failed to ask them to “make sure you call me when you get home” …even at age 96. Gladys was also a proud Grammie to Miikka Wickman, Tuomas Wickman, Gus Peter (Julie) Kokonas, and Eric (Leah) Kokonas and a kind Great-Grammie to Bella, Costa, Gwen, Elliot, and Holden Kokonas. A very special thanks and appreciation to the staff of Sunrise Senior Living of Buffalo Grove for their exceptional level of care and to Aurora Advocate Hospice for their attentive end-of-life support. At Gladys’ request, no visitation or services will be held. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation to the charity of your choice is appreciated.
