Glenn Shelton Key, 94, was born in Jackson, Mississippi on 6/12/1921 and died peacefully in Chicago at 5 am on 2/17/2016. He was a compassionate adventurer with an artist's soul who, among other positions, served as Director of Social Work at Children's Memorial Hospital for 20 years. He volunteered to serve as a medic in the Navy, during WWII. He tremendously loved, and was loved by his wife, Mary Jean (Riley), his children, dear friends, and extended family. He is survived by his children David, Stephen and Katherine, his daughter in law Laurie and granddaughter Emma Johnsen. Visitation will be held at Drake & Son Funeral Home, 5303 N. Western Ave Chicago, on Sunday February 21st from 3-9 pm. Funeral service will be held at Graceland Cemetery, 4001 N. Clark St Chicago on Monday February 22nd at 10 am.
