I am his first grandson and have always taken great pride in that. I am also equally proud to have been able to bring him his first great grandchild. 2months old today. Paparaldo had the privilege of becoming a GreatGrandfather, although he didn't get the chance to hold him personally, he did meet his first great grandson, Andrés. He was vehemently excited. Before Andrés was born he had told me he was too young to be a GreatGrandfather but despite that he gave me fatherly advice and supported my transition into fatherhood. Maybe he was trying to sucker me out of a Jolly Rancher (he LOVED those) but whatever the reason, It is advice I will now be able to cherish.
Thank you Paparaldo for all the support and memories you have provided, your family will miss you and always love you.

My heart is broken and so sorry for you all. Papa Haraldo made quite an impression on me at our first meeting. I could see so much wisdom and love of life in his eyes. The entire family made me feel so welcome when Bris invited me in. I love all of you guys and have asked Jehovah God to give you the strength you need to endure. He will hold you all in His Almighty Hand. He will comfort Madre Maria too. Papa is free of this life and will probably be resurrected in God's new system after this one is destroyed. Time will heal this wound, just keep going.

Revelation 21:4 - And He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.

Acts 24:15 - And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.

My heart goes out to the entire Hernandez family on the loss of a good man. May he Rest In Peace. Take comfort in knowing that he is free of all of the pain, sickness and troubles in this world. As long as you continue to hold the memories of everything he’s done and taught you in this life, he is never gone. May God bless and be with you during this time.

One of my earliest memories of my dad is of a pleasant family beach day. Being the youngest of six I waited patiently for my turn to go into the deeper part of the shore of El Puerto de San Fose, a small beach of the South Pacific Ocean in Guatemala. When the time finally arrive, I climbed on his back and further into the deep sea we went. When we reached, what seem to me the middle of the ocean, he reached for my hand so I could playfully jump over the origin of tumultuous waves. Joyfully, I recently visit Santa Monica beach where I had a similar experience. Only this time I was holding my daughter's hand.
See you soon, Papa.
