I have to share this with you all. My Daughter Sydney wrote and read this Eulogy at her Grandma's funeral. What a way to honor an amazing lady. She has a big smile on her face listening to this.
There's an old saying that says what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. I don't believe that, I think the things that try to hurt you make you angry and sad. Strength comes from the good. It comes from your family and friends and memories. Those are the things that keep you whole. Those are the things to hold onto when you're broken. I dont feel stronger. I hurt. My heart hurts. My head hurts. My whole body hurts.  When I think of my grandma I think of someone not who was always sick and covered in bruises but somebody who can turn a complete stranger ringing her up at walmart to a lifelong friend. I think of her sitting at the kitchen table in her nightgown watching wheel of fortune or lifetime movies. A jewelry hoarder, a bacon lover, the one all the boys wanted(of course), and the only one who shares the same love for comfortable socks as me.  The night before her surgery my sister Alyssa texted my sister Morgan and I and said "grandma is gunna be ok right?" I thought right away of course oh my gosh she's my grandma she's fine she'll be fine. We think the people that we love are invincible. Maybe that's why it hurts so much when they're gone. Or maybe were sad because we remember that we will never hear them laugh or hear the sound of their slippers across the linoleum floors, we remember how there will be an empty chair every holiday. What we really need to remember is that she's not going anywhere. There's a piece of her in every single one of us that will never go away. The memories and the stories won't ever fade. I see her mouthing "don't be mad at me" in my head over and over again. It's silly to me because how could I ever be mad at you grandma? We won't be sad forever. I don't think this has made me stronger. It's made me more understanding and appreciative and realize that when the time comes for me to be a grandma? I have huge shoes to fill. So thanks for that grandma. Thank you for loving me, sheltering me, and letting me stay at your house every time I didn't want to go to school. We love you, we miss you, and we will be okay.

Oh Mom, Please help me stop crying. I see your face and hear your words constantly, begging me to not be sad. I don't know how to do this, my heart has NEVER been so broken. I miss your beautiful face, I miss how much you loved my Daughters, you told me many times that they were the best gift I ever gave to you. Little did you know that you were the best gift we were ever given. You are alive in our hearts and always will be. You must have been so proud of Syd, she delivered your eulogy with grace and love. We are the reason that these young Women are so exceptional. We were an awesome team, I will miss you by my side every day for the rest of my life.

There was no one else like her.  In our darkest days, she could always make us laugh.  We are beyond grateful for having known her.  xoxo

My dear Annette, My heart aches for you and know your heart is broken. I loved your Mom. I always enjoyed talking with her. She was a character. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Sending much love and many hugs. Love to you all.

John, I know how much you and Jackie loved each other and were inseparable.  I will miss my "Cuz" very much.  We spent most of our teenage years dancing to "Keep A Knockin'", by Little Richard.  Whenever I hear this song, I will think of my amazing cousin!

John, My most heartfelt sympathy and prayers to everyone, I grew up spending many holidays and family functions with Jill. I have many fond memories. She will be greatly missed.

Dearest Annette and extended famlies both Tom and I sport you in this very saddist of times We will always rembember JACKIE with love and prayers.

Annette...my most heart felt sympathy and prayers to you and your family at the passing of your mom. I can see you loved her very very much and know that your heart must be broken and that her loss in your day to day life will always be felt .  My hope for you is that warm memories of a life of happy times and moments with her comfort you now and always.

You were so helpful to me with my daughters on my father's last days.  Please know that although I am not there with you, you are in my prayers.  Love Bonnie and family ( Bill's daughter ).

A space in my heart will always be reserved for my Aunt Jackie. Gone too soon, for sure. So thankful that I was able to see her one last time this past September and introduce her to my son. 

I hope she's up in heaven now having a cup of coffee with my Mom and looking down on us all.  

Lucky, are we all to have known her.


Jill is like a Grandmother to me. Everything about her and her home and her family bring wonderful childhood memories rushing back. I will forever be great full for the time that I was able to spend with Jill--way back when and most recently. I am happy the she is no longer in pain and she is able to be with her loved ones in heaven. Jill I love you and will see you again some day.

Jill you were always so much fun to be are. I have so many childhood memories of you and Aunt Joan, Delores and my family.  I will miss you. Love DeeDee

You mom was always so much fun to be around. I always had fun when Aunt Joan, your mom and I went somewhere to eat. Your mom is without anymore pain. She is at peace in eternally.  I can just see your mom, my Aunt Joan, Harold, Eddie, Lorraine and my mom and dad playing poker.
Your mom always teased me about being glued to my dads hip. I can still hear her laughter. Annette you and your family are in my Prayers through this difficult time.  Love You DeeDee
