To all of my dear Lavin cousins: Jim was a wonderful, loving, caring man, who worked hard to take care of those he loved. I will always remember his big smile, warm handshake and bear hugs, and genuine interest in how everyone was doing. I’m happy that he is not suffering anymore, though I know his absence will leave a hole in the heart of everyone who loved him. I imagine his Mom and Dad, Aunt Alice and Uncle Jack, and his beloved Pat, are joyfully embracing him and welcoming him home, just as I’m sure God is. I hold you all gently in my heart.
P.S, Uncle Jack is probably cracking a few jokes too!
Love, Theresa N.

My deepest condolences to Jimmy's Family and Friends for Your loss, I had the distinct pleasure of knowing Jimmy, he was one of the kindest men I have ever known. He was just a good man period, but everyone who knew Jimmy knew that already.

We shared ties back to the old neighborhood and working at Yellow Freight. We shared breaks at work sometimes reminiscing about the old neighborhood and people and places we both knew. It was always great fun with Jimmy as he may have a story I didn't know.

May Jimmy rest in eternal happiness, he'll be watching out for the Family as that is who Jimmy was.

Sincerely
Joe O'Connor
