James R Zubrzycki, age 74, of Oak Lawn, Illinois passed away on Friday, January 24, 2025. Loving husband of 52 years to Beverly (nee Trzcinski); adoring father of James E. (Jenna), Jennifer L., and Jessica; Cherished grandpa "Papa" of James T. (Karla), Joseph, Natalie, Joshua, Noah, Carly, Cady, Kahlen, Adalia, Madeleine, Maddox, Maverick; great-grandfather of Jacob; fond brother of Thomas (Debbie) Zubrzycki and Laura (James) Kaiser, uncle and friend; James was preceded in death by his parents Chester and Adeline Zubrzycki.
James served his country as United States Army Veteran. He worked with American Airlines for 25+ years, and after his retirement he worked as a delivery driver for Palermo's Pizza. He was a die hard Chicago White Sox fan, and enjoyed collecting die-cast car models. James was affectionally known by his friends as Jimmy Z.
A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday February 5th, 2025 at Andrew J. McGann and Son Funeral Home 10727 S. Pulaski Rd. Chicago, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. with a chapel memorial service to immediately follow. Interment at a later date.
