We are all so sorry to hear about Jeff. He and my son Chris Reinke were very close at Ebinger. He was always over after school to join others to do homework and eat the $5 pizza I would have for everyone! We loved him dearly and he will be missed. Lots of prayers. He was truly an incredible soul.

I couldn’t find the right words to write so I found a poem instead...

His Journey’s Just Begun by Ellen Brenneman

Don’t think of him as gone away
his journey’s just begun,
life holds so many facets
this earth is only one.

Just think of him as resting
from the sorrows and the tears
in a place of warmth and comfort
where there are no days and years.

Think how he must be wishing
that we could know today
how nothing but our sadness
can really pass away.

And think of him as living
in the hearts of those he touched…
for nothing loved is ever lost
and he was loved so much.

RIP Jeff

Our son Dakota was friends with Jeffrey. I've seen him around and in pictures but I did not have the pleasure of interacting with him. God bless him. For his family and those who loved Jeffrey, I pray for strength and peace as they walk through this most difficult loss.

I grew up across the alley from Jeff. As kids, my sister and I would race outside every day to gather up the Gaynes and Cygnars. I remember Jeff always telling jokes or stirring up trouble. On the other hand, he was always the first one to stand up for me when the other kids would get out of pocket. As we got older, Jeff would come sit on the porch and we would talk for hours. In high school when we did see each other, he would always smile and try to catch up.
Jeff knew people on an intimate level. He knew how to talk to people and how to make them feel important. He seemed to know what to say in the exact moment to make a difference in someone's day. Jeff was deeply thoughtful and caring.
My deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of Jeff. He's an amazing person and will be deeply missed. Thank you for sharing Jeff with the rest of us.
