John Francis McNellis, M.D., 65, of Chicago and Covert, MI; was born into life February 7, 1949, and born into eternity on July 27, 2014; beloved husband of Nancy Lennon; loving father of Jane (Mark Porcaro) Lennon and Ann (Jeffrey Mahany) McNellis; adoring grandfather of Cecilia and Alice Porcaro; dear brother of Patrick (Mary) McNellis, Mary (the late D.J.) Andries, Thomas (Chereen) McNellis, Clare (August) Mitchell, Laura (Daniel) Zuzuly, and the late Eileen McNellis; Brother-In-Law of Thomas Lennon; caring son of the late John & Eileen McNellis; fond nephew of the late Roger McNellis; uncle, cousin, and friend of many. John was a talented musician extraordinaire, avid traveler, skilled and dedicated emergency physician.
