Sharing LaCrosse Avenue with the Ruzyla Family for so many years was a joy. My fondest memory is of John and Michael, sometimes joined by June, sitting out in nice weather listening to their beloved music, enjoying a cold drink but most of all the company of one another. In the summer months when I was not teaching, I would pour a glass of wine and put a chair out on our porch across the street. We would raise our glasses in a neighborly toast and enjoy the late afternoon glow." I came to refer to them as, "My guys across the street."
To Michael and June, our deepest sympathy. As our daughter said this evening when I told her of Joh's passing, "He was a fixture in the neighborhood." Indeed he was.
Thanks for the memories.
